Corn Bread Mix (basic) Recipe

Ingredients:
4 cup: All-purpose flour*,
4 cup: Yellow commeal,
1 3/4 cup: Nonfat dry milk,
1/3 cup: Baking powder,
2 tsp: Salt,
1 3/4 cup: Shortening,
Directions:
Mix flour, cornmeal, dry milk, baking powder and salt. Cut in
shortening completely. Refrigerate in airtight
container up to I month. 12 cups mix.
*lf using self-rising flour, reduce baking powder
to 2 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons and omit salt.
