Brownies #1 Recipe

Ingredients:
1/3 cup: Butter,
1/2 tsp: Baking powder,
2 ounce: Unsweetened baking chocolate,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
1 cup: Sugar,
1/2 cup: Chopped walnuts,
2: Eggs, well-beaten
1 tsp: Vanilla extract,
2/3 cup: Sifted flour,
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350oF. Melt butter and chocolate together in top of
double boiler over hot water. In large mixing bowl, gradually add
sugar to eggs; beat thoroughly. Add melted chocolate mixture; blend
well.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together into separate bowl; stir
into chocolate mixture. Add nuts and vanilla; mix well. Spread
mixture in greased 8" square baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool
in pan, then cut into squares.
