Devil Dogs Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup: Margarine,
1/2 cup: Cocoa,
1/2 cup: Sugar,
1: Egg,
1 tsp: Vanilla extract,
2 cup: Flour,
1/2 tsp: Baking powder,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
2 tsp: Baking soda,
1 cup: Milk,

FILLING (LISTED BELOW) ***
1/2 cup: Milk,
2 T: Flour,
1/2 cup: Margarine,
1/2 cup: Sugar,
2 tsp: Vanilla extract,

Directions:
Mix together margarine, cocoa, sugar, egg and vanilla extract. Sift and
add flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda alternately with milk.
Drop by teaspoon onto UNGREASED cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for
8 minutes. Cool and cut in half length wise, spread filling between
halves. (making sandwich)

FILLING ( This should be made first )

Cook milk and flour over low heat until thick. Cool until COLD. Beat
together margarine, and sugar, Add to cold mixture add vanilla extract,
Beat until it looks like cream. Spread between devil dogs. Or place two
together placing cream between the two.
