Mean ... Meaner ... Meanest Bbq Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
2/3 cup: Olive oil,
Small hot red chiles, seeded
1 large: Yellow onion, chopped
And minced, Meanest version
1 bunch: Scallions, sliced
35 ounce: Can tomatoes,
4 Cloves: garlic, minced
3 tbsp: Brown sugar,
4 large: Fresh ripe tomatoes, seeded
2 tsp: Chili powder,
And chopped,
1 tsp: Dried oregano,
1 large: Sweet red pepper, seeded,
1/4 tsp: Ground cloves,
Cored, and chopped
6 tbsp: Fresh lime juice,
1 large: Sweet yellow pepper, seeded,
1/4 cup: Worcestershire sauce,
Cored and chopped,
3 tbsp: Red wine vinegar,
3: Jalapeno peppers, seeded &
Salt & freshly ground black,
Minced, Meaner version
Pepper to taste,
2: Fresh cayenne peppers or,
Directions:
Heat half the oil in a large saucepan or dutch oven over medium heat.
Add the onion, scallions, garlic, fresh tomatoes, and red and yellow
peppers. For a meaner sauce, add the jalapeno peppers; for the
meanest sauce, add both the jalapeno and cayenne peppers. Saute for
15 minutes. Remove from the heat and puree in a food processor fitted
with a steel blade. Return to the saucepan. Process the canned
tomatoes with their liquid, the sugar and remaining oil in the food
processor until smooth. Add to the saucepan. Stir in the chili
powder, oregano, cloves, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, red wine
vinegar, and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer uncovered over low heat
