Adas Molasses Nut Bread Recipe

Ingredients:
2 3/4 cup: Flour, sifted all-purpose
2 tsp: Baking powder,
1/4 tsp: Soda,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
1/4 cup: Sugar,
1/2 cup: Nut meats, chopped
1/2 cup: Seedless raisins,
3/4 cup: Molasses,
1: Egg, beaten
1/4 cup: Shortening, melted or oil
2 tsp: Grated orange rind,
Mix together and sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar
Directions:
into a mixing bowl; add nut meats and raisins and mix together.
Combine the milk, molasses, egg, shortening and orange rind; add to
dry mixture and stir only enough to dampen flour. Bake in a greased
bread pan, 10x5x3 inch, in a moderate oven,
350 degrees F., for 1 1/4 hours.
This recipe makes a large loaf of fruit bread.
