Skillet Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Cornmeal,
2 tsp: Baking powder,
1/2 tsp: Baking soda,
2 tsp: Salt,
4: Eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cup: Buttermilk,
1 cup: Water,
1 tbsp: Shortening,

Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Combine eggs, buttermilk, and water.
slowly stir into cornmeal mixture just until dry ingredients are
moistened.
Melt shortening in a 9 inch cast-iron skillet in a 400 degree oven
until very hot. Pour batter into hot skillet. Bake at 425 for 35
minutes or until lightly browned.
