Strawberry Jewels Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Butter,
2 package: , (3 oz each) cream cheese, so
2 tbsp: Vanilla,
1 cup: Whole wheat pastry flour,
1 cup: Rolled oats,
1 each: Jar strawberry preserves,
Directions:
Cream together butter and cream cheese. Blend in vanilla. Add flour
and stir in oats. Chill dough overnight. Roll out dough on lightly
floured board to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with 2-inch round cutter.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Make an indentation on each cookie
in its center with your thumb. Fill indentation on each cookie with
a teaspoon of strawberry preserves. Bake at 350 degrees about 20
minutes or until golden brown. Makes 36
