Fortune Cookies 1 Recipe

Ingredients:
1: Egg,
1/4 cup: Granulated sugar,
2 T: Corn oil,
2 T: Water,
1/4 cup: Cornstarch,
Directions:
In small bowl with mixer on low, beat egg until frothy, gradually
beat in sugar till thick and lemon colored. Fold in corn oil. Combine
water and small amount of egg in cornstach until smooth. Gently stir
into remaining egg mix. Heat heavy, well seasoned griddle to 350
degrees. Drop generous tablespoon of batter onto hot griddle. Spread
with back of spoon to 4" circle. Cook 5-8 minutes or until cookie
appears golden on bottom. Gently loosen cookie and turn. Cook other
side until brown. Place fortune strip across cookies as removing from
griddle. Fold 2 edges over fortune strip. Keep fortune inside. Bend
cookie in half. Set in small glass until cooled enough to hold shape.
