No-fry French Fries Recipe

Ingredients:

2 lbs: Large baking potatoes, scrubbed*
1 tsp: Olive or vegetable oil,
1 large: Garlic clove, minced
1 tsp: Salt,
1/4 tsp: Coarsely ground black pepper,
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 F. Line jelly-roll pan with foil. Spray foil
generously with vegetable cooking spray.
2. Cut each potato lengthwise into 1/2-inch wide slices; cut each slice
into 1/2-inch wide strips.
3. Toss potatoes in jelly-roll pan with oil, garlic, salt and pepper to
coat well. Bake 40 to 45 minutes, tossing once or twice, until potatoes
are crisp and golden. Serve immediately.
*For sweet potatoes: Prepare 2 pounds sweet potatoes as directed above,
except bake 35 to 40 minutes, turning once.
Prep time: 20 minutes; Baking time: 40 to 45 minutes.

g; sodium 580 mg; carbohydrates 56 g; protein 4 g.
