Recipe by luhu.jp

Ingredients:
2 ounce: Hops,
4 ounce: Essence of spruce,
1/2 gallon: Water,
1 pint: Water,
8 gallon: Warm water,
1/4 pint: Yeast,
1 gallon: Molasses,
Molasses,

Directions:
Put hops and water in a kettle and boil for 30 minutes. Strain; add 8
gallons warm water, molasses and spruce essence. Put in a clean cask,
shake all well together and add yeast. Let stand and work for 6-7
days, or less if the weather is warm. When drawn off, add 1 teaspoon
molasses to each bottle. Many of the recipes in this collection did
not contain amounts or oven temperatures. I have typed them in as
they appear in the book, typos and all.
