Powter French Toast Recipe
Yield: 4 servingsRecipe by luhu.jp
Ingredients:
2 large: Eggs,
2 large: Egg whites,
1 cup: 1% milk,
1/2 tsp: Vanilla extract,
1/2 tsp: Cinnamon,
8 Slices: challah bread, cut 3/4 inch thick, or you may sub fresh white or Italian bread
Directions:
Beat the eggs and egg whites together.
Add the milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon to the eggs and mix well.
Soak the sliced bread in the egg mixture for approx 5 mins, until the
mixture is absorbed.
Preheat oven to 350. Arrange bread on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake
for approx 15 mins, until bread is lightly browned. Or, fry slices in
a nonstick frying pan.
Options: Great with powdered sugar, sugar and cinnamon, jellies,
maple syrup, lemon and powdered sugar, orange and powdered sugar,
fruits, chocolate sauce, fruit pie fillings and nonfat ice cream.
21% cals from fat
My note: I dip the slices in the mixture in a bowl, then pour any
remaining over to soak in. This stuff is really good!
