Onion & Bacon Tart^ Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Flour,
1 tsp: Salt,
3/4 cup: , (about) water
1 tsp: Vegetable oil,
FILLING
12 slice: Bacon, cut in 1/2" pieces
Cream,
4 medium: Thinly sliced onions,
1 tbsp: Vegetable oil,
4 cup: Small curd cottage cheese,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
Pureed until almost smooth,
1/4 tsp: Nutmeg,
5 tbsp: Creme fraiche or whipping,
1/4 tsp: Pepper,
Directions:
Dough:
Mix flour, water and oil. Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead
until smooth and elastic, about 3 minutes. Chill, wrapped in plastic,
overnight.
Remove and let come to room temperature before dividing and rolling.
Filling:
Preheat oven to 500F.
Brown bacon; remove from pan and drain. Cook onions in bacon fat until
light brown and soft, about 10 minutes.
Blend cottage cheese, creme fraiche, oil, salt and spices well.
Divide dough into quarters and roll each into a 12" circle. Place on
seperate pizza or baking sheets. Cover with cream, topwith bacon and
onions. Bake until bubbly and begonning to brown, about 12 minutes.
