Hamburger Hawaiian Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs: Beef, ground
1 tsp: Seasoned salt,
2/3 cup: Cracker crumbs,
Oil, salad, hot
1/2 cup: Onion, chopped
3: Buns, hamburger, warmed(opt)
2/3 cup: Milk, evaporated
HAWAIIAN SAUCE
13 1/2 ounce: Pineapple chunks,
2 tbsp: Soy sauce,
1/4 cup: Sugar, brown, firmly packed
1 cup: Green pepper, coarsley
2 tbsp: Cornstarch,
-chopped,
1/4 cup: Vinegar,
Directions:
Combine ground beef, cracker crumbs, onion, evaporated milk, and
seasoned salt, blending well. Shape mixture into 6 patties; brown on
both sides in a small amount of hot salad oil. Spoon Hawaiian Sauce
over patties; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Serve each patty on a
bun, if desired.
Hawaiian Sauce: Drain pineapple, reserving juice; add enough water to
equal 1 cup liquid. Combine juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar,
and soy sauce in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring
constantly, until thickend. Add pineapple and green pepper; stir
until blended. Yield: about 2 cups.
