Sharons Chow Mein Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 each: Head cabbage, sliced very
-drained,
-thin,
1 t: Sugar,
1 large: Onion, sliced in thin strips
1/2 cup: Water,
4 each: Stalks celery, cut thinly
Sesame oil,
-on diagonal,
Leftover chicken or beef,
Mushrooms, sliced
-slice in thin strips,
1 package: Noodles, dry steamed
2 each: Green onions, chopped
Bean sprouts, rinsed and
Soya sauce, to taste
Directions:
In large Dutch oven, saute the onion, celery and cabbage with the tsp
sugar until just shiny. Add mushrooms. Add the bean sprouts, dry
noodles and 1/2 cup water. Cover pot, and lower heat to lowest
setting. Allow to steam until noodles are soft, and sprouts are
tender crisp. Sprinkle sliced meat and chopped green onions on top,
