Fruit With Cheese Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pint: Strawberries, with caps if
1/4 lbs: Saga* cheese, softened
-possible,
1 cup: Creme Fraiche, (recipe
1 1/2 lbs: Large green seedless,
-follows),
-grapes, cut in half
Directions:
* Saga is a semisoft blue veined cheese from Denmark. Any blue
cheese, such as Roquefort, may be substituted. Pipe a small quantity
of the Saga cheese onto the grape halves. Place the Creme Fraiche in
a small bowl in the center of a serving platter. Arrange the
strawberries around it. Arrange the grape halves around the
strawberries. Creme Fraiche: 2 cups whipping cream 1/2 cup buttermilk
Combine the whipping cream and buttermilk in a saucepan and heat over
medium heat until warm (should be less than body temperature). Place
the mixture in a jar, cover, and let it sit at room temperature for
between 10 to 12 hours or until thickened. Store in the refcrigerator
where it will keep for up to 2 weeks. Serves 6.
