Cinnamon Taffy Apples - Butter Busters^ Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Sugar, (Do not use Sweet n
2 t: Red food coloring,
-Low in this recipe),
1/2 t: Cinnamon,
2 cup: Light corn syrup,
6 medium: Red delicious apples,
1/3 cup: Cinnamon candies,
6 each: Wooden skewers,
1 cup: Cold water,
Directions:
In a medium saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup and cinnamon candies
with cold water. Stirring constantly, cook just until sugr and
candies are dissolved; do not boil. Add food coloring and cinnamon;
stir to mix well. Bring syrup to a boil; continue cooking, without
stirring, to 300F. on candy thermometer. Meanwhile, wash apples and
dry well. Remove stem and place a wooden skewer in far enough to hold
apple firmly. remove syrup from heat. Working quickly, dip each apple
into syrup to coat caompletely. Place, skewer end up, on a cookie
sheet that has been sprayed with Pam. Let taffy harden. Let stand at
room temperature until they are ready to serve. Per sugar serving:
