Traditional Polenta Recipe

Ingredients:
4 cup: Water,
1/2 tsp: Pepper,
1 1/2 tsp: Salt,
4 tbsp: Butter, cut in pieces
1 cup: Cornmeal polenta,
1/2 cup: Parmesan cheese, grated

1. Bring water and 1 tsp salt to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to
medium. Pour polenta into water in a slow steady stream, stirring
with a wooden spoon as you pour. Reduce heat to medium-low and
continue to cook, stirring occasionally, 15 mins.

2. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring frequently, for 30 mins. When
polenta is thickness of cooked cereal and grains are no longer
gritty, stir in pepper, remaining 1/2 tsp salt, butter, and Parmesan
cheese.
