Williamsburg Scalloped Oysters Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup: Butter,
1/2 cup: Flour,
1 1/2 tsp: Paprika,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
1/4 tsp: Pepper,
1 dash: Cayenne,
1 small: Minced onion,
1/2: Minced green pepper,
1/2: Minced garlic clove,
1 tsp: Lemon juice,
1 tbsp: Worcestershire sauce,
1 quart: Oysters with liquid,
1/4 cup: Fine cracker crumbs,

Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan; add flour, cooking & stirring until light
brown. Stir in paprika, salt, pepper & cayenne. Add onion, green
pepper & garlic; cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring. Remove from
heat & add lemon juice, Worcestershire & oysters (which have been
picked over & heated in own juice). Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart
casserole; top with cracker crumbs. Bake in 400 oven for 30 minutes
or until bubbly.
