Dons Stuffed Steak Recipe

Ingredients:
2 each: lg. (2.5 -3 lb.) flnk stks,
1 teaspoon: salt,
1 cup: soy sauce,
1/2 cup: cider vinegar,
1 tablespoon: ground white pepper,
2 each: cloves garlic minced,
1 each: medium onion chopped,
2/3 cup: chopped mushrooms,
1/4 cup: chopped pecans,
1/4 cup: chopped dates,
1/4 cup: raisins,
1 each: salt to taste,
1 teaspoon: fresh ground black pepper,
Directions:
Mix the vinegar, salt, garlic, pepper, & soy sauce & into a large
flat pan. Lightly pound the steaks with a meat mallet then place into
the pan with the marinade. Cover & refrigerate for 6-12 hours. Be
sure to turn the steaks every 3-4 hours.
Mix all the stuffing ingredients (last 7) together. Place the steaks
out flat and cover with the stuffing mixture. Roll the steaks up and
pin them closed with stainless steel meat skewers. Bake in a
pre-heated 350 degree F. for 1 hour. Baste with the marinade twice
during the hour. Place on top oven rack and broil for 3 minutes.
Slice the rolls across & serve. This is excellent with wild rice. The
marinade may be thickened and made into a gravy/sauce for this as
well by adding 2 T of peanut oil and cornstarch as needed. Origin:
