Country Chicken/crockpot Recipe

Ingredients:
3 lb: chicken,
1: salt and pepper,
1 large: onion, cut in wedges,
1: green pepper, diced,
2: celery stalks, diced,
1/3 cup: carrots, sliced, optional,
3 sprigs: fresh herbs*,
2 large: cloves garlic, minced,
1 1/2 teaspoon: curry powder,
1 lb: can tomatoes*,
3 tablespoon: raisins,

Directions:
*Can use 1 tsp dried herbs. Do not drain tomatoes, but cut up pieces.
Place all ingredients in crock pot. Cover, turn on LOW and cook 8 to 10
hours. If you are around, baste the chicken with the juices once in a
while. Skim off fat before serving. Garnish with slivered almonds and
parsley if you wish.
