Lemon Ice Recipe

Ingredients:
1 pint: Lemon juice,
1 quart: Sugar,
1 quart: Water,
2: Egg whites,
Directions:
To lemon juice, add sugar and water, in which the thin rind of three
lemons has been allowed to stand until highly flavored; when partly
frozen add egg whites, beaten to a stiff froth.
