Besan Burfi Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Besan,
1 cup: Shortening,
1 cup: Sugar,
4: Seeds Cardamom,
Nuts, optional

Directions:
1. melt shortening in a pan. 2. Turn down heat and add cardamom and
Besan. 3. Fry, stirring constantly to prevent burning till it has
changed color to brown and smells done. (Test: a few drops of water
sprinkled on it splutters instantly). 4. Turn off heat and stir in
sugar. 5. Spread on a platter 1/2" thick. 6. Cut into diamond shapes
after it has cooled down.
