Date Torte Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Chopped nuts,
4: Egg whites,
1 tsp: Vanilla,
1 cup: Chopped dates,
1/2 cup: Sugar,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
1/2 cup: Cookie crumbs, any kind
Directions:
Beat egg whites until light but not stiff. Fold in sugar. Continue
beating until smooth. Add flavoring and salt. Fold in nuts and
dates. Pour into well-oiled spring pan, lined with cookie crumbs.
Bake in slow oven (350 F) until firm. 8 servings. The Household
