Eats Black Bean Soup Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Black beans, soaked
4 quart: Water,
3: Whole cloves,
1: Whole onion, peeled
1/2 lbs: Lean beef, diced
1/4 lbs: Salt pork, prepared
1/8 tsp: Cayenne pepper,
1/2 cup: Sherry,
Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:
DIRECTIONS: (prep 10-15 mins; soak 2 hrs; cook 3 hrs): ~Rinse beans
and sort. Soak for 2 hours. Drain. -Rinse the salt pork. Cut the rind
several times. Rinse some more. -In a large saucepan place the black
beans and the water. -Stick the whole cloves into the whole onion and
add it to the beans. -Add the diced beef, salt pork, and cayenne
pepper. Bring the liquid to a boil. Cover the saucepan, reduce the
heat to low, and simmer the ingredients for 3 hours, or until the
beans are tender. Skim off any foam that appears. -Add the sherry,
