Sousa Portugese Beans Recipe

Ingredients:
2 lbs: Pinto beans,
16 ounce: Tomato sauce,
1 large: Onion chopped,
1: Ham hock,
1 Clove: garlic,
1/2 tsp: Cloves,
1/2 tsp: Cinnamon,
1/2 tsp: Nutmeg,
1/2 tsp: Chili powder,
3 tsp: Sugar,
Salt and pepper,

Directions:
Put beans into large pot and cover with 3 inches of water. Add all
ingredients except the sugar and cook until done. Add the sugar. I
like to throw in some Linguica sausage when I have it.
