Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup: Onion slices,
2 tbsp: Olive oil,
1 lbs: Ground beef,
2: Garlic cloves, minced
2 lbs: Canned tomatoes, 4 cups
16 ounce: Canned tomato sauce, 2 cups
3 ounce: Canned mushrooms, 2/3 cup
1/4 cup: Parsley,
1 1/2 tsp: Oregano,
1 tsp: Salt,
1/4 tsp: Thyme,
1: Bay leaf,
1 cup: Water,
Directions:
In large skillet, cook onion in hot oil until almost tender. Add
meat and garlic; brown lightly. Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer uncovered 2 to 2 1/2 hours or till sauce is thick; stir
occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot spaghetti. Garnish with
Parmesan cheese, if desired.
NOTE: One pound of spaghetti will serve 4 to 6 as a main dish with
sauce.
