Ginger Puffs Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Sifted all-purpose flour,
1 tsp: Baking powder,
1/2 tsp: Soda,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
2 tsp: Ginger,
1/2 tsp: Allspice,
1/2 tsp: Cinnamon,
1/2 cup: Shortening, soft
1/2 cup: Brown sugar, firmly packed
2: Eggs,
1/2 cup: Light molasses,
1 cup: Cooked oatmeal, cooled*
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices into bowl.
Add remaining ingredients. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes. Drop
by teaspoonfuls onto greased cooky sheets. Bake in preheated moderate
oven (375 F.) 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from cooky sheets; cool.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar, if desired.
*NOTE: Cook Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked) according
to package directions.
