Hoarhound Candy Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/3 tsp: Pressed hoarhound,
1 1/4 cup: Boiling water,
1/3 cup: White corn sirup,
2 cup: Sugar,
1/8 tsp: Salt,
Directions:
Pour water over hoarhound. Allow to stand 10 minutes. Strain. Combine
sugar, salt, sirup, and water from hoarhound. Boil to soft crack
stage (275 - 280 F). Pour in thin sheet onto well-buttered baking
sheet. Mark into squares before candy hardens. The Household
