Flecia Umpluta (stuffed Flank Steak) Recipe

Ingredients:
4 cup: Toasted bread cubes,
1/4 cup: Hot water,
3/4 cup: Chopped green pepper,
1/2 cup: Chopped onion,
1/4 cup: Melted butter or margarine,
2 tsp: Salt,
1/4 tsp: Pepper,
Eggs, slightly beaten
Flank steaks,
Salt and pepper,
Flour,
Fat,
1/2 cup: Water,
Directions:
Combine the first eight ingredients and toss lightly with a fork.
Place steaks together and sew edges with cord, leaving an opening.
Fill with stuffing, sew edges together. Sprinkle with salt and
pepper. Coat with flour. Brown on both sides in a small amount of
fat. Add 1/2 cup of water, cover and bake 2 hours or until tender.
Recipe may be halved and just put stuffing over one steak and bake,
or roll and tie.
