Holiday Macaroons Recipe

Ingredients:
4 each: Eggs,
Melted & cooled,
1 1/2 cup: Sugar,
1 tsp: Vanilla extract,
2/3 cup: All-purpose flour,
5 cup: Coconut flakes,
1/2 tsp: Baking powder,
1 Jar: maraschino cherries --,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
Drained & halved,
2 tbsp: Butter or margarine --,
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs until foamy. Gradually add sugar,
beating constantly until thick and pale yellow. Stir together dry
ingredients; fold into egg mixture. Stir in butter, vanilla and
coconut. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased and floured cookie sheets.
Top with cherries. Bake at 325 deg. for 10-13 min. Yield: about 6
dozen.
