Foundation Butter Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
1/3 cup: Butter,
2 tsp: Baking powder,
7/8 cup: Sugar,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
2: Eggs,
1/2 cup: Milk,
1 1/2 cup: Pastry flour,
1/2 tsp: Flavoring extract,

Directions:
Directions Cream butter until very soft. Blend in gradually sugar.
Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs.Combine mixture thoroughly.
Measure flour then add baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to
first mixture alternately with milk.Add flavoring before adding the
last of the dry ingredients.Bake in well greased and floured pans 45
to 50 minutes for an 8" square pan at 350 degrees F; 25 to 30 minutes
at 375 degrees F for layers. Fill and frost when cold.
