Peanut Sauce For Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Dark corn syrup,
1 t: Peanut butter flavor,
1 cup: White sugar,
1/4 t: Vanilla extract,
1/8 t: Salt,
1/2 cup: Chopped, blanched, roasted,
2 T: Butter or margarine,
-salted peanuts, optional
1/2 cup: Milk,
Directions:
combine corn syrup, sugar, salt, butter, and milk in large heavy
saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constatnly, until mixture
comes to a boil. Boil gently 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat. Stir in Peanut butter flavor and vanilla extract.
If desired, stir in chopped peanuts. Cool completely. Store sauce
in covered container in refrigerator. Makes 2 cups, 2 tbsp per
serving. Delicious served with ice cream or over banana splits.
Store in refrigerator, stir well before using. Origin: Watkins Food
