Pear-nut Souffle Salad Recipe

Ingredients:
3 ounce: Gelatin, lemon- or lime-flav
1/4 tsp: Salt,
1 cup: Water, boiling
16 ounce: Pears, drained and diced
1/2 cup: Water, cold
3 ounce: Cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup: Mayonnaise,
1/4 cup: Walnuts or pecans, chopped

Directions:
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir until dissolved. Add cold
water, mayonnaise, and salt; beat until smooth. Pour into a 9x5"
loafpan. Chill in freezer for 20 to 25 minutes or until firm 1 inch
from edge of pan but still soft in center. Combine pears, cream
cheese, and nuts. Whip chilled gelatin until thick and slightly
fluffy. Fold in pear mixture. Pour into 1-quart mold or individual
molds. Chill until firm.
