Friendship Cake Starter Recipe

Ingredients:
1 can: Sliced peaches in heavy,
2 1/2 cup: Sugar,
-syrup,
2 each: Jars maraschino cherries,
2 1/2 cup: Sugar,
-with juice,
1 can: Crushed pineapple with juice 2 1/2 c Sugar,
Directions:
Mix peaches and 2 1/2 cups sugar in a one-gallon container - a large
apothecary, for example. Cover loosely and let stand at room
temperature. Stir daily. On the 10th day, add the pineapple with
juice and 2 1/2 cups sugar. Stir daily. On the 20th day, cut the
maraschino cherries in half and with juice add to the starter. Add 2
1/2 cups sugar. Stir daily.
