Triple Good Bars Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Raisins,
1 can: Condensed milk, 14oz
1 tbsp: Grated lemon peel,
1 tbsp: Lemon juice,
1 cup: Butter or margarine,
1 1/3 cup: Brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 tsp: Vanilla,
2 1/2 cup: Oats, uncooked
1 cup: Flour,
1 1/2 cup: Walnuts, chopped
1/2 tsp: Baking soda,
1/4 tsp: Salt, optional
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 inch baking pan. In a medium
saucepan, combine raisins, milk, lemon peel and lemon juice. Cook over
medium heat, stirring constantly, just until mixture begins to bubble.
Remove from heat; cool slightly; set aside.
Beat butter or margarine, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add
remaining ingredients; blend until evenly mixed and crumbly. Reserve
2 cups. Press remaining mixture onto bottom of greased pan. Spread
raisin mixture to within 1/2 inch of pan. Sprinkle with remaining oat
mixture; pat lightly. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool completely. Cut into 1 x 2 inch bars. Makes about 4 dozen.
