Compota De Peras(pear Compote) Recipe

Ingredients:
2 lbs: pears,
1/2 lbs: sugar,
2 cup: water,
1: cinnamon stick, 3 inches
grated zest of 1/2 lemon,
Directions:
Peel and core the pears. Place in pot with remaining
ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook 10-15 minutes, until the
pears are very soft but still hold their shape. Serve warm or at
room temperature with some of the cooking syrup.
