Cider Stew For Crock Pot Recipe

Ingredients:
2 lb: beef stew meat 1-inch cubes,
3 tablespoon: flour,
1: apple, chopped,
2 teaspoon: salt,
1/4 teaspoon: pepper,
1/4 teaspoon: thyme, dried,
2 cup: apple cider,
1 tablespoon: vinegar,
3: potatoes, pared & quartered,
4: carrots, quartered,
2: onions, sliced,
1 stalk: celery, sliced,

Directions:
Coat the meat with the mixture of flour, salt, pepper and thyme. In a
skillet or large saucepan brown the meat in 3 T of oil. Drain off the fat.
Place the vegetables and the chopped apple in the crock-pot. Combine the
apple cider and vinegar. Place the meat on top of the vegetables. Pour the
cider vinegar mixture over the meat. Cover and cook 10 to 12 hours on low
heat. Turn cooker to high heat. Blend 1/2 cup of cold water with 1/4 cup
of flour. Stir into stew. Cook and additional 15 minutes or until
thickened.
