8 medium: to 10 tart apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
2 tablespoon: butter,

Directions:
Mothers Applesauce Recipe 6 to 8 hours

To Cook: Place the apples in the slow cooker along with the water, sugar,
salt, and cinnamon. Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours. Remove the
cover, turn the heat off, and stir in the vanilla and the butter. Serve
warm or chill before serving.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
