Shofly Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Baking molasses,
1 tbsp: Baking soda,
2 cup: Water, boiling
4 cup: Flour,
2 cup: Brown sugar,
3/4 cup: Shortening,
1/2 tsp: Salt,

Directions:
Mix the molasses, baking soda and water and let cool. Cut the
remianing ingredients to form a crumb, reserving one cup of the
crumbs. Mix the remaining crumbs with the molasses mixture, it will
be lumpy. Pour into a ungreased 9 x 13 pan and sprinkle reserved
crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.
