Strawberry Jam (parish) Recipe

Ingredients:
2 quart: Strawberries,
5 1/2 cup: Sugar,
Boiling water,

Directions:
Wash & hull the berries. Place in a large pot. Cover with boiling
water & let stand for 3 minutes. Drain. Add 2 1/2 cups of water,
boil hard for 3 minutes. Add remaining sugar & boil hard for another
3 minutes. Let stand overnight, either in large bowls or platters.
Ladle into serile jars. Seal.
