Treacle & Oatmeal Drop Scones(english) Recipe

Ingredients:
2 ounce: Self-raising flour,
1 1/2 tsp: Level baking powder,
pn Salt,
1/2 ounce: Soft brown sugar,
2 ounce: Medium oatmeal,
1 ounce: Butter,
1 tbsp: Black treacle,
1 small: Egg, well beaten
1/4 pint: Milk, scant

Directions:
Sieve the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl and stir in the
sugar and the oatmeal. Gently melt the butter and black treacle
together in a pan. Add to the dry ingredients and stir in with the
well beaten egg and the milk. Heat a thick frying pan or griddle and
grease lightly. Drop teaspoons of the mixture on to the pan; as soon
as bubbles appear on the surface turn over and cook the other side.
Serve hot with butter.
