Italian Sausage Sandwiches Recipe

Ingredients:
1 Pound: italian sausage,
Sliced 1/4-inch thick,
1/2: Spanish onion, sliced and
Separated into rings,
3/4 cup: Thinly sliced green pepper,
Strips,
2: Tomatoes, peeled, wedged
1/2 tsp: Dried whole oregano,
6 large: French rolls,
1 cup: , (about
4: Ounces) shredded mozzarella,
1 cup: Shredded lettuce,

Directions:
Brown sausage over medium heat, and drain well; add onion, green
pepper, and tomato. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, about 7
minutes or until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat, and stir in
oregano.Heat rolls according to package directions; split in half,
and set aside.Spoon meat mixture on bottom half of each roll;
sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 2 minutes or until
cheese melts. Top each with lettuce and roll top. Yield: 6 servings.
