Countress Maria Cherry Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:
3/4 cup: Sugar,
17 ounce: Sour cherries, drained and
1: Egg,
-reserve juice,
2 tbsp: Shortening,
2 tbsp: Butter, divided
1 cup: Flour,
1 1/2 cup: Brown sugar,
1 tsp: Baking soda,
1/3 cup: Sugar,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
2 tbsp: Flour,
1/2 tsp: Vanilla,

Directions:
Mix 3/4 cup of sugar, the egg, shortening, 1 cup of flour, soda, salt,
vanilla and cherries well. Pour the batter into a 9" square pan.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.. Combine the brown sugar, 1 T of butter
and 2 T of cherry juice in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Pour the sauce over the hot cake. Combine 1/3 cup of sugar, 2 T of
flour, 1 T of butter and 1 cup of cherry juice in a saucepan. Boil
