White Trash Corn Pone Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Cornmeal,
1/2 cup: Molasses, cane
1/2 tsp: Baking soda,
1 tsp: Salt,
1 each: Egg,
1 tbsp: Bacon drippings,
Directions:
Add enough warm water to the cornmeal to make a thin dough. Allow it
to rise overnight in a warm place (or in the oven). Add all other
ingredients to the sponge, mix well, and then bake in a skillet at
400F until a nice golden brown in color. Slice and eat. You can
make one large pone per skillet, or smaller individual ones. Origin:
