White Trash Hoppin John Recipe

Cook enough black-eyed peas,
Hungry people. Stire the,
With hog jowls until they,
Rice and peas,
Are tender. Cook,
Together and serve.,
Cup of rice for every 2 or 3,
Directions:
Some folks add tomatoes, some add okra, but whatever else you add, if
it has rice and peas, it then has to be called by its White Trash
name of Hoppin John.
Always eaten on New Years Day, with the more you eat, the more good
luck you will have in the coming year. Kaye Kay states "Thats common
knowledge. You can make it out of crowder, field or cow peas."
