Apricot-apple Sauce - Country Living Recipe

Ingredients:
5: Apricots, pitted and cut
-peeled, cored, and cut
-into 1/2-inch chunks,
-into 1/2-inch chunks,
2: Golden Delicious apples,
1 tbsp: Honey, opt.
Directions:
1. In 2-quart microwave-safe dish, combine apricots and apples. Cover
with lid or vented plastic and microwave on high (100 percent) 5
minutes. Stir fruit mixture and microwave, uncovered, on high (100
percent) 5 to 7 minutes longer or until fruit is very soft.
2. In food processor with chopping blade or in blender, puree fruit
mixture until smooth. If mixture needs sweetening, stir in honey to
taste. Serve warm or chill and serve cold.
Variations:
PEACH-APPLE SAUCE: Follow recipe as above, but substitute 3 peaches
for the apricots.
PLUM-APPLE SAUCE: Follow recipe as above, but substitute 3 red plums
for the apricots.
