Jays Chili Recipe

Ingredients:
2: Onions, med; finely chopped
1: Tomato paste, 6-oz can
1: Green bell pepper, f/chopped
1/4 cup: Green chili salsa,
1: Celery stalk, finely chopped
1: Jalapeno, finely chopped
2: Garlic cloves, minced
* 3/4 c Chili powder,
2 tsp: Oil,
1 4-oz can: diced green chilies,
4 lbs: Lean ground beef,
1/2 cup: Water,
2: Stewed tomatoes, 14 1/2oz cn
1 tsp: Salt,
1: Tomato sauce, 15-oz can
Directions:
In Dutch oven, saute first four starred ingredients in hot oil until
tender. Add meat, 1 pound at a time, stirring until meat loses
redness. Drain; add water. Add remaining ingredients, stirring after
each addition. Simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring frequently. Season
to taste with garlic salt and pepper, if desired.
