Moms Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients:
3 slice: Bacon,
1/8 tsp: Salt,
1/3 cup: Sharp Cheddar cheese, shred
12 medium: Mushroom caps,
1/2 tsp: Chopped green onions,
1/4 cup: Bacon grease,
Directions:
Fry the bacon, then drain and crumble. Combine bacon with cheese,
onions and salt. (Mushroom stems can be chopped and added, also.)
Dip mushroom caps in bacon grease; place on broiler pan. Fill caps
with bacon-cheese mixture. Place tops of mushrooms 4 inches from
broiling unit; broil 6 to 8 minutes. This recipe can be prepared
ahead of time and refrigerated. Do NOT broil until just before
serving as hor doeuvres. This recipe is especially good in
