Pfeffernuesse 3 Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup: Butter, melted
1/2 tsp: Cloves,
1 cup: Sugar,
1/2 tsp: Soda,
2: Eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup: Citron, finely chopped
1/2 tsp: Lemon rind, grated
1 1/2 cup: Blanched almonds,
1/2 tsp: Oil of anise,
-fully chopped,
2 cup: All-purpose flour, sifted
Powdered sugar for rolling,
1 1/2 tsp: Cinnamon,
Directions:
Blend butter, sugar and eggs; add lemon rind, citron, and anise oil.
Blend in sifted dry ingredients and almonds. Shape level
teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Place on greased cooky sheets.
Bake at 350 about 14 min. Roll in powdered sugar while warm. Store
in airtight container.
