Sauerkraut With Apples Recipe

Ingredients:
1 medium: Onion, peeled and chopped
1 tsp: Sugar,
2 tbsp: Lard or bacon fat,
1/2 tsp: Caraway seed,
1 lbs: Sauerkraut, drained
1 medium: Potato, raw, peeled
1/2 cup: Beef bouillon or consomme,
& grated,
2: Tart apples, cored, pared
Salt and pepper, to taste
& chopped,

In a saucepan, saute onion in fat until tender. Add sauerkraut; saute
1 min. Add remaining ingredients. Cook slowly, covered, for 30 mins.
Serves 4.
NOTES : This is usually served with pork or game.
